One of many great places for sitting in Atlanta is hands down the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Open 9am until 7pm on Tuesdays through Sundays from April through October, 9am until 5pm November through March, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is full of great places to sit and watch people, enjoy the garden, listen to birds, etc.
The Hardin Visitor's Center is the starting point of one's visit to the Garden just a short walk from the parking deck. The second floor balcony is an excellent place to sit. Through out the garden, the sitting enthusiast will find creative and unique places to sit. In some places, a visitor may get to sit with a piece of sculpture.

These are just a few places one can find to sit at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. There is a cafe' in the Garden, "MetroFresh in the Garden", which offers indoor and alfresco dining and bills itself as "the perfect place to relax and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner made from the freshest ingredients." Some exceptional sitting should take place there daily.
When in Atlanta, we strongly encourage anyone that enjoys sitting to visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
